Mary Beth Squires, of 123 Edward Rd., St. Marys, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 at Penn Highlands Elk after a lengthy illness. She was born July 3, 1956 in St. Marys, daughter of the late William and Marie Erich Squires. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1974. Mary Beth was an employee of Metal Powder Products. Mary Beth was a member of the St. Mary's Church and the American Legion. She enjoyed bowling, shooting darts, going camping and playing cards. She is survived by a brother, Thomas J. Squires and his wife Mary of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Gerda Squires of St. Marys; seven nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and great nephews; including Betty Taylor, with whom she was especially close. In addition to her parents, Mary Beth was preceded in death by a brother, John T. Squires. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Beth Squires will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church with the Rev.
