Elizabeth "Betty" Rose, born March 2, 1923, died in her sleep on November 6, 2006, in Beaverton, Oregon.
Betty and her husband, Donald, raised four sons, Donald, Daniel, Dale and Douglas. They lived in California, Oregon and Lake Stevens, Washington. After Betty's husband died in 1995, Betty chose to move to Everett. She made many friends in her new retirement community before moving to Beaverton, in 2005 to be closer to her son, Daniel.
Betty worked many years at Sears in the catalog department. When her sons were younger, every day was a challenge to raise them. She said many times that if she had lived in the Old West days, she probably would have been "Ma Barker with her sons." She dearly loved her children and had many stories to tell of all their achievements along with the challenges of raising four boys. She also bragged about her many grandchildren and they will surely miss her a lot.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Donald; and her sons, Douglas and Dale.
Betty leaves behind her two surviving sons, Donald and Daniel; plus ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Cremation will be handled by Springer & Son in Beaverton. There will be no service at her request.
