Kathleen (Hout) Best, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 14, 1954, she was the daughter of Norita (O’Donnell) Hout and the late Frank Hout and attended local schools. Kathleen worked in the produce department at the WHY Supermarket. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW in Pennsylvania and enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. Besides her mother, she is survived by her brothers, Frank (Margaret) Hout, Michael (Brenda) Hout, Charles Hout, William (Candace) Hout, all of Niagara Falls, NY, Terrance (Norma) Hout of Tenn.; her sister, Melinda (late Doug) O’Grady of Niagara Falls, NY; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Best and her father, Frank Hout. There is no prior visitation. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Pennsylvania.
