    • LARGER BEER BREWERY

The subscribers would inform the citizens of Clearfield county, and elsewhere, that they have just erected a Brewery in the East part of the Borough of Clearfield, and that they are now prepared to supply Tavern-keepers and Eating-Saloons, with a superior article of Larger Beer. The quality of their Beer is equal to any manufactured in the State, and as they are determined to sell at the most reasonable rates, they flatter themselves, that they will be liberally patronized in their new enterprise. Give them a call and satisfy yourselves of the superior quality of their Larger.

GRIM REAPER TAKES ANOTHER OLD TIMER

In the passing of George Hout, Sr., last Sunday this community lost a citizen who had lived here for nearly 80 years and one who had taken a keen interest in the progress of the community during all these years.

For the past three years he had been confined to a wheel chair but kept a cheerful outlook on life. Although and invalid, his death was sudden and unexpected.

He is survived by six children: Henry of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. William (Clara) Webster, Buffalo; Mrs. Floyd (Margaret) Specht, Kenvil, N.J.; Mrs. Ray (Mary) Housler, George Jr., Mrs. Thomas (Julia) Cleary, all of Emporium. Fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
