The John Tynan you are refering to was my grandmother's older brother. John Augustus (Gus) Tynan, born Troy, NY 8/4/1887; second child/son of John Charles Tynan (born Ireland abt. 1854, emmigrated abt. 1866) and Winifred F. Keenan (born Ireeland abt. 1858, emmigrated abt. 1868). I also found the 1930 census you are referring to and knew by the names of the children that he was the "lost" brother I had been searching for: daughter Winifred named for his mother and son John C. for his father. SSDI shows he died 11/1963 somewhere in the state of NY. Can you tell me anything about Anna M. Hout, his wife?

Subject: John Augustus Tynan and Anna Mary Hout Matthew: I have been busy doing research on several branches of my family at the same time. I am writing to share with you information I just obtained about the two daughters of "Jack" aand Anna who died as infants: 1. June Frances b. 11/7/1920 d. 9/4/1922 2. Margaret Elizabeth b. 1/23/1922 d. 6/9/1922 Births and deaths of both occurred in Fredonia, Chautauqua County, NY (deaths at the home at 238 Main Street). Also, if your are still maintaining a tree on Ancestry that includes sheets on each person, here is some additional information: 1. John Charles Tynan - father: John Tynan, mother: Catharine Grady (d. 5/15/1891, Lansingburgh (Troy), Rensselaer County, NY) 2. Winifred Frances Tynan (d. 10/10/1903, Troy) - father: John Keenan, mother: Ellen Connors. Hope this is useful. Best regards, Diane Brown
